This is one of many photographs I have taken over the last 7 years of co-organizing The LGBTQ+ Intergenerational Dialogue Project. The photo shows the heart of our work together - a circle of LGBTQ+ people coming together to dialogue across differences in age, class, race, gender, and sexuality. The project has expanded over the years, to become a partnership between an LGBTQ+ community center, queer faculty at three local colleges/universities, and local LGBTQ+ bars and community organizations.
[Visual Description] Describe your photo so we can provide alt-text. Example: "Two women holding hands and smiling as they walk in a pride parade, surrounded by rainbow flags."
26 LGBTQ+ people of different ages, gender identities, racial and ethnic backgrounds, and sexual orientations sit in a circle, facing each other, as they listen intently to the person speaking.
[Agreement] In the event that you win the 2026 Curve Photo Contest, do you consent to having your photograph printed for the sole purpose of displaying at The Curve Foundation's one-day event at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (San Francisco, CA) during Lesbian Visibility Week?
