This photo was taken at the Nankoweap granaries at the bottom of the Grand Canyon. My partner and I came out together 3 years ago on a river trip, where free from the fears and pressures of society we kissed and there was no more hiding our queerness. In the wilderness, love conquered fear. And our love and queerness continues to expand and flow with the rivers we paddle and the beautiful community that surrounds us. We are so lucky to share extended wilderness trips that give us an incredible freedom to breath and love and become more and more ourselves.
