This work is centred on queer identity and beauty. Referring to my ever-present gender dysphoria it explores the space in between socially defined binary gender borders in which I am drifting unable to conform, searching validation to my radical existence and identity from a place of questioning. Disclosing to the audience that which is a source of vulnerability I am also inviting them to join me on my journey beyond it and one step further towards reconciliation.
[Visual Description] Describe your photo so we can provide alt-text. Example: "Two women holding hands and smiling as they walk in a pride parade, surrounded by rainbow flags."
A person with short hair and a styled goatee sits confidently on a wooden chair against a dark, moody backdrop of deep red and black fabric. They wear a vivid pink coat that falls open, revealing their breast. Their posture is relaxed yet defiant, one arm draped over the chair’s back and one leg extended forward, bare feet resting on a neutral carpeted floor.
