This is what being queer means to me, holding myself in a time of lesbian heartbreak and choosing to capture what I look like on one of the few sunny days in the UK winter. Even if I am messy, no makeup, in my crocs, I am still here, I am still worthy of being held, nature is always ready to receive me if I only ask her nicely.
[Visual Description] Describe your photo so we can provide alt-text. Example: "Two women holding hands and smiling as they walk in a pride parade, surrounded by rainbow flags."
A 5'4 dual heritage person in a black crop top stands in the middle of her garden, looking off to her left where the sun is casting rays through the trees on the grass and across her lower body. She stands with her legs together. In her left hand, she squeezes a black bulb of shutter release cable to take the self portrait on her film camera. The curled cable casts a shadow over her dark blue oversized jeans.
Behind her are bushes and a curved fence as well as the rooftops of her neighbours houses.
