[Artist Statement] Tell us more about your photo by sharing a brief artist statement OR answering this prompt: "This is what being ______ means to me..." (Max. 100 words)

Within my practice, I explore memory through poetics of identity and territory. I create multidisciplinary art permeated by personal affects and politics. Through symbolic acts and objects, I evoke and question the construction of memory and perspective, documenting specific issues such as the erosion of bodies and territories caused by colonial and patriarchal practices. I gather the imprint of my surroundings, recording their traces through the objects I use. I am interested in experimentation and archiving as a process of searching and discovery where the medium is not only a tool but a language in itself. Through the materiality of the pieces, I establish connections and intersections around identity, the everyday as a bridge to the political, and positions from my feminist and queer subjectivity.

[Visual Description] Describe your photo so we can provide alt-text. Example: "Two women holding hands and smiling as they walk in a pride parade, surrounded by rainbow flags."

Double exposure photo taken by one part of the relationship without the other knowing what she took and then passing it to the other part of the relationship to complete the photo
