- We speak often of the role of the chosen family as a lifeline for queer people worldwide. Indeed, Aishah and I often joke that our platonic life partnerhood, with our two adopted black cats, feels like taking shelter on a stormy sea. My work captures those intimate moments in between, where connections are nurtured. And where the sometimes-serious, sometimes-intense, sometimes-silly facets of our beings can be met with reciprocity. See all items with this value
- A person of mixed Malaysian-British descent is winking at the camera, holding a saggy rolled cigarette to their mouth. They have shoulder-length dark hair with red/orange streaks and are wearing a grey tracksuit. In the corner of the image, there is a brown hand with blue nails holding an umbrella, its silver stalk shining in the flash. See all items with this value
